How can government agencies, destinations, and tourism companies collaborate to reduce emissions and move toward a carbon-neutral tourism model? The tourism sector faces the challenge of reducing its emissions to remain competitive and resilient and to align with European climate goals. This roundtable will bring together government agencies, destinations, and experts to discuss how to accelerate decarbonization through public-private partnerships. The session will also address the main challenges related to governance, mobility, energy efficiency, and emissions measurement. Through real-world experiences and case studies, participants will share solutions to move toward low-carbon destinations and tourism businesses.
