We are facing times where the need to generate scientific knowledge and leadership is imperative and, to do so, it is crucial to ensure the promotion of public-private partnerships in the different stages of the value chain. These alliances must stimulate knowledge transfer and develop bidirectional links between the scientific community and companies. We must encourage the collaboration among all agents and increase social and economic returns from R&D&I.
